We're off to Canada in June 2010 for the International Participatory Breast Cancer Dragon Boat Festival!

"To all breast cancer teams,
The IBCPC judges have now completed the assessment of the 5 bids that were received for the IBCPC 2010 Participatory Festival. In reaching a final decision the judges took into account the following 4 key factors :
. Experience in raising breast cancer awareness
. Solid support and sponsorship from the local community
. Credentials of the organizing committee to manage the event
. Experience within the breast cancer participatory section of dragon boat racing
The winning bid was submitted by Peterborough, Canada. The 2010 IBCPC Participatory Festival for breast cancer dragon boat teams will be held from June 11 - 13, 2010. Information about the IBCPC 2010 Peterborough Festival will be available soon on our new website at www.ibcpc.com The Steering Committee is grateful for the interest shown in bidding for this event.
The third participatory festival promises to be as exciting as those in Vancouver and Caloundra."

Peterborough,
known as the "jewel
of the Kawarthas" is an
ideal location with plenty of tourist
attractions and accommodation.
Want to travel farther a field? There are several
opportunities for travel to major centres such as
Ottawa, Montreal, Niagara Falls, and Toronto.
The community has "heart" and is known to be a
caring, generous community. It's tickled pink to
welcome visitors to the festival with open arms.
The venue, Little Lake, is in the hub of the city near hotels,
shopping, restaurants, a marina and an art gallery.
Organizers have been involved in running Peterborough's
own local dragon boat festival successfully for eight
years so you can be guaranteed a well-run event.
The flower ceremony has been praised by visiting
teams to our local festival and you can be sure the
2010 ceremony will be original, respectful,
and one of the highlights of the event.
