The Pink Snapdragons often refer to their group as the 'Pink Ladies'. They are a dragon boat team of Breast Cancer Survivors and Supporters known as Bosom Buddies. Twice a week they meet for training at Redcliffe in Southeast Queensland, Australia.

Our Aims

  • To promote breast cancer awareness and education.
  • To demonstrate people can still lead a full and active life despite breast cancer.
  • To show breast cancer does not discriminate on the basis of age or race.
  • To give a 'face' to and personalise the statistic.
  • To be inclusive of all breast cancer survivors who wish to participate.
  • To always encourage the search for a cure.

Pink Snapdragons is a support minded group that offers paddling opportunities to all breast cancer survivors.

Bosom Buddies are our friends and supporters and and help us in every way possible. We
celebrate life together, paddling, eating, mugs of coffee.......

No particular level of fitness or paddling experience is required.

New members can start off learning the basics in the recreational boat on Monday evenings and Saturday mornings.

For those choosing to paddle at a more challenging pace, and are interested in training to race, the competitive boat practices Saturday afternoons and Wednesday evenings.

Enjoy great exercise in the fresh air, fun and camaraderie.

Paddles and life jackets are available to borrow.
